So long no posting!

I think this is my most detailed painting at this moment.
I must try with new colors, so I realized that for some reason I use too much red/grey combinations. And realized that almost all my girls are red haired too :confused:
It could seem ironical to say that my favourite color is green but that's the truth XD

Well, no ref used untill my head almost explodes because of her right hand wich I've changed at least 3 times.
And finally I must apologize to all those who know about archery, since I really don't know how to use one of those and I've maybe invented a bit her pose :P

Looks bloody good to me. Must be propably one of your best works, though' there are some little things that bother me. Like the string of the bow. The angles that they come from give an illusion that the bow could be twice the girl's size or something. It could be just me though'

I like the way you made her hair. Looks very natural. And since her eye(s) aren't manga-styled again, I like it even more.

thanks! I'll take a look to that, though I made it thinking of a samurai long bow.
Yes, I don't wanted her eye like other ones i made. I suppose I like to draw them more or less manga-alike depending of the concept of the drawing. Anyway, I suppose I'll be using eyes like that in the future instead of the other bigger ones.

Well, the bow samurais used was almost twice as long as the little buggers, so...

And if she shoots that arrow, she could get snapped on her fingers from the arrow. basic bows usually have a little bump (I don't really know how to say it but..) A thing that's a few centimeters on top of the handle. It keeps the arrow from touching the hand. It is used like a barrel of a gun sort of. So the arrow knows where it's going, see?

that bg too details, i love the hair, but seems the black bg (that forrest tree) swallowed the hair..

Actually if it was a traditional bow, which, dur, it is, the arrow would rest on TOP of her hand. Yes I've been doing archery for years now. And yes I shoot traditional. No there is no "little bump" like saibankan said, or anything on a traditional bow...it goes on TOP of her hand, on the other side. VERY NICE PICTURE though. I don't know how you'd fix that, but it'd be worth it.
